Nitin is a dual qualified lawyer enrolled to practice in India; England & Wales. Nitin has multi-jurisdictional experience of advising diverse entities across multiple jurisdiction such as US, Canada, UK, Singapore, UAE etc
Nitin’s focus area is regulatory, disputes, and general corporate commercial laws, within Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT), Energy, Aviation and Infrastructure sectors. He advises multifarious entities with respect to the policy, regulatory and legal framework in the country to facilitate investments and compliances. Some of the key aspects handled/negotiated/advised, include, investments, mergers & acquisitions (including FDI), licensing, spectrum allocation, spectrum sharing & trading, commercial arrangements, regulatory compliances, fraud investigation, claims against the government, and strategic advice including representing companies before various governmental, regulatory and legal fora. He also advises companies on certain highly niche areas of law, such as outer space, undersea cabling, and privacy & data protection.
Nitin has also worked inhouse internationally with a multi-billion dollar tech company (subsidiary of a chinese tech conglomerate), where he advised cum assisted the management on US, China and EU laws & regulations around company’s business and technology; undertook setting up of start-ups in foreign jurisdictions (eg. Canada, US and EU) et al. He has extensive experience around drafting & negotiating contracts.
He also appears before diverse fora including the Supreme Court of India; High Courts of various states; and several regulatory & their appellate bodies (such as telecom, energy, competition, environment, aviation, et al). Nitin has various publications in telecom journals and has worked in India, UK and Dubai.
